From 2009 the cultural level of events is raised even higher. Each day will be characterized by a theme-event.
The key themes of the 2009 edition will be:

• how the green new deal is key to relaunching the country
• eco-design for the planet. Working together to redesign the world. This concept spawns a production system which, through better use of raw materials and energy, not only reduces environmental impact, but also increases the value of products obtained and the efficiency of services provided. Eco-design is made possible through innovation in the fields of technology and process management and, in our increasingly competitive market, it favours companies which invest in sustainable, re-usable and easily recyclable products. The culture of social responsibility and the objectives sanctioned by the Green New Deal and Europe 20-20-20 therefore become essential drivers of corporate development.

• 3rd Italian WEEE Forum: the trend in the collection and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment in Italy.
• Forum on Car Scrapping, with the participation of all key sector operators.
• Legislation of chemical substances through REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals).
• The water cycle and its many uses: legislation covering water, focusing particularly on groundwater and the recycling and re-use of waste water.
• Impact of climate changes on water resources: management and environmental aspects.
• Management of excavation earth and rock.
• Air quality: industrial impact, organic micropollutants, dispersion and deposit of metals in urban centres.
• Municipal Council Access to Carbon Credits.
• The role of communication in supporting environmental policies.
