The conference aims to explore the challenges and opportunities for the European agri-food sector in the era of ecological and digital transitions. The meeting aims to highlight the fundamental role that agriculture, food production and the entire agri-food chain, in close dialogue with the research world, can play in achieving the objectives of economic growth, attractiveness and competitiveness, promoting decarbonization goals, in line with the new EU guidelines. In particular, it refers to the key factors necessary to ensure generational turnover, stability and attractiveness of the agri-food sector and the production of technologies essential to implement processes and paths that ensure a just transition towards climate neutrality.
Additionally, topics such as the integration between technological innovation and sustainability, the digitalization of the supply chain, emission reduction practices and the creation of a fair and inclusive food system, capable of ensuring food security and access to healthy and sustainable food, will be explored in depth.
