Event
The Italian Extraordinary Commissioner for Wastewater Treatment and Reuse plays a crucial role in managing and overcoming EU infringement procedures and, potentially, in implementing water resilience strategies planned at European and national level. The event, which will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at the Water Arena, aims to provide an update on the progress of commissioned interventions, highlighting the results achieved and the challenges still open.
Through the contribution of the Commissioner and Sub-Commissioners, the progress made on the territory will be presented, with a focus on reuse opportunities and the ability to transform critical issues into strategic levers for the modernization of the water sector. The Commissioner's scientific consultants will delve into the technological and technical-practical dimensions related to wastewater treatment plants and sewage infrastructures, highlighting how innovation and research can support regulatory compliance and prepare the country for future challenges.
The workshop therefore represents an opportunity for discussion among institutions, technicians and stakeholders to discuss not only the results achieved, but above all the strategic trajectory to follow to ensure the sustainability, safety and resilience of the Italian water system.
