Thematic Tour: Bio-based and waste based solutions

The thematic tours, now in their second edition, offer the opportunity to focus on a specific supply industry within the fair. Visitors will be guided through selected exhibitors based on their relevance and peculiarity in the sector.

Circular bioeconomy and bioenergy, long-standing and strategic sectors within Ecomondo, are the focus of this guided tour. Compost and various forms of biomass are highlighted as essential resources in the generation of renewable energy and the development of biobased materials. The visit explores state-of-the-art methods for processing organic matter, with particular emphasis on the application of bioactivators that accelerate natural decomposition processes. The itinerary also includes a comprehensive overview of anaerobic digestion technologies and the infrastructure dedicated to biomethane production. The tour illustrates how the sustainable management of soil and organic resources plays a crucial role in advancing a circular economic model, one that transforms organic waste into valuable outputs such as energy and new materials, thereby supporting a more responsible and climate-conscious future.
