Event
2026 will be the year of the completion and consolidation of regulation in the waste sector. In addition to the planned update of the tariff method (MTR-3) and the regulation of technical quality, the Authority will also regulate unbundling and user fees. In this renewed context, the discipline on calls for tenders will also be completed. For the first time, therefore, the regulatory discipline will be applied in its entirety, over the entire span of the waste management process: from the drafting of calls for tender to the formulation of fees; generating the conditions of consistency necessary for the regulation to be effective.
The conference aims to promote a constructive dialogue between the various stakeholders in the sector to observe the process of transposition of the regulatory novelties, adopting an overall view that includes both the point of view of the operators in the sector and that of the institutions, starting from the new ARERA board.
