● Full Professor (since 2001) of Industrial Technical Physics at the Dept. of Engineering (PG).
● Founder and Director of the National Biomass Research Center (CRB), since 2003.
● Director of CIRIAF (Inter-University Research Center on Pollution and Environment), 2015-17. First (Scival) at European level in biomass and biofuels research.
● Graduated with honors in electrical engineering from La Sapienza University (1983).
● Trained in private industry developing environmental simulation systems and climate chambers also in foreign companies (Texas).
● Representative in Brussels IWG8 for the Strategic Plan for Energy Technologies (SET- PLAN, 2009).
● Member of New York Academy of Sciences (2010) and Coordinating Committee for the National Bioeconomy Strategy at the CoM Presidency (2019).
● Author of more than 350 scientific publications (236 in international journals).
● Holder of 25 patents.
