Organized by: Ecomondo Scientific Technical Committee, Italian Ministry of Economic Development and other bodies of the CLYPEA Network and of the BLUE MED pilot project “Sealines”

The aim of this seminar is the dissemination of main research results are conceived as a best practice in publicly funded research. Therefore, this occasion aims at presenting the most important outcome of the CLYPEA programme financed by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development in the period 2015-2020 with a selection of those results and studies particularly akin to ECOMONDO themes. Moreover, this seminar will be the occasion for presenting the result of the BLUE MED pilo project “Sealines”.

Launched in 2014 by the DGS UNMIG (Directorate General for Safety of energy and non-energy material) of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, with the main goal to maintain forefront knowledge on offshore operations safety standards and enhancing scientific research, CLYPEA is a Network of Research Institutes, Universities and State Bodies. The Network deploys, through a multi-disciplinary and co-operative pattern, highly innovative technological-based projects on safety of energy offshore operation, and research serving the forthcoming transition challenges. The partners’ expertise and experience are engaged in actions to increase safety, surveillance and awareness aligning with the growing and unavoidable need to readdress economic development towards blue economy principles.The presentation will be held by researchers of the CLYPEA network and participant of the BLUE MED pilot project “Sealines”
