Organized by: Ecomondo Scientific Technical Committee & Italian Sustainable Investment Forum and ART-ER

Sustainable finance is crucial to achieve the European Green Deal targets and a sustainable post-pandemic recovery. However, while the demand for sustainable financial securities continues to grow, greenwashing has become a fundamental issue. If not managed and efficiently prevented, greenwashing can undermine decarbonization efforts of public and private organizations. For this reason, contrasting greenwashing is today one of the main challenges. Everyone has to contribute to this. Public authorities have to implement effective science-based policy measures towards a sustainable economy. Companies have to commit for a clear and accurate sustainability reporting, in order also to attract sustainable investments. Responsible investors have to put in practice sustainable science-based investment strategies and decisions. Consumers have to ask for more disclosure and orient their choices towards more transparent brands.
