The national recovery and resilience plan (Mission 2 Measure 1) has provided for a specific investment line (1.1) that allocates 1.5 billion euros for the enhancement of separate waste collection, the revamping and construction of new treatment plants for separately collected municipal waste, and innovative plants for the treatment of waste still on fringes of circular economy. Through the discussion among the various subjects involved (institutions, industry associations, waste operators), the conference aims to make a first assessment of the initiative, evaluating how local authorities and companies have seized the opportunities of the NRRP, and how the projects admitted to the funding will shape the future of municipal waste management in our Country.
