Organized by: Ecomondo Technical Scientific Committee & Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, ENEA
The event will focus on the measurement of circular economy within the framework of assessing the contribution of enterprises to the ecological transition. The measurement of circularity represents a prerequisite for implementing the transition path from a take-make-dispose economic model to a circular and regenerative model. It is based on the monitoring of physical and economic aspects of the examined systems (organizations, supply chains, sectors, etc.) in order to acquire information useful for identifying areas for improvement and setting new priorities. Various approaches and methods for measuring circularity have been developed in recent years, but no single, universal approach has been consolidated to adequately capture the complexity and multiple aspects involved in the path to the circular economy. This workshop aims to present an overview of the different international and national methodologies and explore the importance of measurement with companies that have applied one of these approaches.
