Critical raw materials (CRMs) are indispensable for a wide set of strategic sectors, including those related to Ecological Transition and their availability might highly impact on Green Deal foreseen actions. The last years health and geopolitical crisis has underlined the limits of global supply chains and there is a need to individuate and implement sustainable and secure CRMs supply alternatives. Several initiatives either at European and national Italian level have been put in place to face this criticality, starting from the mapping of the actual situation and including measures to improve the refining, processing and recycling of critical raw materials in Europe Within this event the context and main initiatives will be presented.
