The plenary session will address the state of the art and outlook of the collection and recycling of bio-waste in Europe and in Italy. Specific focusses will be made on recycling plants evolution in Italy between material recycling and energy production in the light of the ongoing sectoral policies and, above all, on the topic of the quality of bio-waste streams collected in urban areas, with the presentation of data updates on the composition analyses that the CIC carries out every year throughout the Country.
