Environment and energy transition: a new format for the 18th Ecomondo China – CDEPE, scheduled to be held from 16-18 May 2024 in Chengdu Century City Expo Centre.

A new claim Leading the Ecological and Energy Transition in Western China for a show that develops with the market and aims to be a place of business and networking for Chinese and international operators, an opportunity to come together and tackle the urgent and ongoing challenges posed by the environment and the energy transition globally.

► inclusion of a new energy sector, New Energy&Storage and Electric Mobility that brings together energy storage and electric mobility following the investment and efforts made by the Chinese government in the energy transition.

► an opening international conference to explore strategies adopted by Europe and China to address climate change and environmental risks, innovations and case histories, and technologies to mitigate climate change and address environmental risks.

► ICE Collective. 120sqm occupied by 11 Italian companies representing the sectors: collection and transportation, monitoring, water treatment, recycling and recovery, and waste treatment. Completing the international line-up are 6 companies present in the storage and electric mobility sectors and 10 international companies from Germany, the US, Denmark, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong.

► There will be more than 4,300 net square meters of exhibition space hosting some 270 exhibitors.

► With the aim of cultivating and ensuring a qualified and high-level audience for exhibiting companies, thanks to the synergy with industry associations, we have nurtured and improved the hosted buyer program.

Consul General Fabio Schina will make a welcome speech during the opening ceremony of the event and participate in the ribbon cutting of the ICE Collective.

► On May 16, in the afternoon, the event "Italy at Ecomondo China-CDEPE: 8th Festival of Sustainable Development-Chengdu-Europe Industry Dialogue" will be held, co-organized by IEG, the Consulate of Chongqing, and the Chengdu City Foreign Affairs Office under the umbrella of the "Festival of Sustainability in the World" initiative, promoted by ASviS and MAECI.
This conference will include the participation of several local institutional representatives and 9 companies from the ICE Collective: an excellent opportunity for visibility and networking for Italian companies.

Ecomondo China has also worked on the exhibition offerings, placing alongside traditional product sectors such as: water and waste treatment, air pollution prevention and control, environmental monitoring and bioenergy, the new energy sectors of storage and electric mobility, following the Chinese government's investments and efforts in energy transition.

► Ecomondo China is a prime vantage point for China's decarbonization policies and investments and offers exhibitors numerous opportunities for B2B and B2G meetings.

China's southwest regions, particularly the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, contribute about 40 percent of the country's total GDP and are set to play a key role in pursuing the road-map toward full decarbonization of Chinese manufacturing by 2030.

►This market promises interesting business, cooperation and investment opportunities for small and medium-sized Italian companies, with a particular demand for international knowledge and technology, avoiding the more crowded and competitive markets such as Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen or Guangzhou.

Ecomondo China - CDEPE is organized by Sichuan Environmental Protection Industry Association (SCEPI) and Europe China Environmental Exhibitions (ECEE) - an Italian Exhibition Group company based in Chengdu
