Countering climate change also means relying on the ability of natural ecosystems to remove atmospheric carbon. However, the effectiveness of blue and green carbon depends on various factors, many of which are influenced by the same climate changes. Opportunities and challenges in promoting nature based solutions for carbon have a crucial role in implementing the EU’s adaptation policies and achieving the EU’s climate neutrality goals by 2050. The seminar through the experience of two dedicated progects, is an opportunity to explore regional and European perspectives on key challenges and opportunities, facilitating debate, mutual learning, and the exchange of best practices.
