He has done research at CNR and the Milan Polytechnic, where he is head of the Ridef master's program “Reinventing Energy.” He has been director general of the Ministry of the Environment. He is scientific director of QualEnergia's Kyoto Club and president of Exalto Energy&Innovation.
He also heads the scientific committee of KEY.
