Lucia Leonessi
Lucia Eva Leonessi was born in Arezzo on 12 July 1966. She has a degree in Italian language and literature from the University of Siena.
She has a PhD in Criminology from Ludes, the Free University of Lugano, which she completed in March 2010.
She joined the Professional Register of Journalists in 1991: in 1992, she was an editor at RAI, then head of service of L’Opinione delle Libertà di Roma, then at La Nazione di Arezzo. She then worked in communications development and institutional relations for large industrial groups, including Saima SpA, the Inghirami Group and Cose di Lana SpA, with various stints abroad.
In 1999, she joined CEPU, where she was National Head of External Relations for 123 regional offices, and was responsible for national communication, with nationwide advertising campaigns (Del Piero, Vieri and Valentino Rossi).
In 2002, she returned to journalism, as presenter and then internal editor-in-chief for the Profit Group (Telereporter, Tele Campione and Odeon Tv), and was a presenter and developer of national TV programmes. She currently writes for the culture section of Corriere della Sera and as a columnist in Libero.
From 2004 to 2006, she worked with the Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament and with the Ecology and Environment Commissions, and in 2009, with Ansaldo alongside a team of researchers for the development and use of hydrogen as a source of renewable energy.
In 2010, she began work as a public official for the Regional Council of Lombardy, for the Budget and Healthcare Commission.
She has been freelance since 2013, founding consultancy Parker, with offices in Arezzo and Milan, and focusing on environmental issues, corporate change and generational change, financial restructuring and international trading in raw materials.
In 2014, she became an Executive Director of MEDAlics – the SCHOOL, provider of the Ministry of Health at the University of Reggio Calabria, while in September 2016, she founded and became General Manager of Confindustria Cisambiente.
In 2019, she completed the MEFOP/Sapienza vocational course (Certification pursuant to art.3 of Ministerial Decree 79/07) in integrated welfare, with particular reference to complementary pensions, with a score of 8/10.
In 2019, she was a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Institute of Navigation, the Scientific and Environmental Committee of Confitarma and the Scientific Committee of E-Mob.
In 2020, she joined the Board of Directors of the Previambiente Pension Fund.
