Roberto Coizet
President of Edizioni Ambiente and President of the Renewable Matter Center.
After studies in art (Academy of Fine Arts) and philosophy (Philosophy of Science), Roberto Coizet turned first to education-with a focus on adult education-and then to publishing.
● He founded and directed Arcadia Edizioni, a publishing house specializing in art, architecture and design publications, for which he also authored and edited the volume “Ambientario” sponsored by Environment Minister Giorgio Ruffolo. He promoted numerous publishing initiatives in the environmental field, including a series of more than 20 volumes produced together with WWF, engaging more than 120 volunteers.
● Founds Edizioni Ambiente in 1992, promotes a number of scientific journals (“Rifiuti ‘, ’Caos”, with Legambiente, “Attenzione”, with WWF, and more recently “Materia Rinnovabile”) and numerous publishing, training and research initiatives. Today the publishing house is a national reference point for sustainability and Circular Economy issues.
● From 2000 to 2005 he carries out a specific activity - in collaboration with the Senate Environment Committee - on the issues of public environmental accounting: first as editor and co-author of the volume “Nature in the Account,” then as coordinator of the Life project “Clear” (in which more than 30 public administrations participated), and in 2005 as editor of the volume “Shared Environment.”
● In 2015, he founded the Renewable Matter Center, linked to the publishing house, to develop research and strategic support activities for public and private decision makers on environmental sustainability.
● He is a member of the editorial board of ARPA Emilia Romagna and co-founder, with Edo Ronchi, of the Sustainable Development Foundation (2007), for which he has been coordinating a number of working groups related to the States General of the Green Economy since 2011.
