This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the critical aspects of sustainability in the bio-based products industry while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among key stakeholders.
It is organized by UNI, the Italian Standards Body, within the Horizon Europe project BioReCer and it aims to bring together stakeholders from the bio-based products industry, researchers, and policymakers. The focus will be on advancing sustainability practices, understanding the Green Claims Directive, promoting circular economy principles, and improving traceability and monitoring of certification schemes. Participants will gain insights into new tolls developed within research projects and aimed at enhancing the sustainability of bio-based products.
Objectives
- Explore the current legislative and standardization landscape and prospects of bio-based products.
- Discussing the implications of the Green Claims Directive on the market
- Presenting new tools to enhance sustainability of bio-based products.
- Foster collaboration among sector stakeholders.
