A portal designed for all Italian companies operating and seeking Circular Economy solutions, supporting them on their path to sustainability.
Albo Circular connects companies and professionals by allowing them to search for new opportunities for collaboration, identify suppliers of recycling services, recovered materials, certification and consulting services, and innovative solutions.
The platform also offers a marketplace where you can post or browse ads to sell or buy materials and production waste, thus promoting recycling and reuse, reducing waste and improving resource efficiency.
Albo Circular is the first free matchmaking platform in Italy between demand and supply of products and solutions in the circular economy. An opportunity for all stakeholders and companies that want to network, exchange new practices and implement circular business models.
BORSOI SRL
BORSOI SRL provides a complete range of solutions and services dedicated for padded items production. These solutions are suitable for upholstery, bedding and fashion manufacturers.
The customer needs are in constant evolution as the new environmental regulations so BOROSI had developed innovative solution for Circular Economy applications.
BORSOI Srl is promoting Product Lifecycle Management for providing optimized Innovations in textile applications. "We have fresh ideas and, from experience, we developed a new approach to generate high value textile products starting from all natural resources or from scrap textile materials. Customer disposes of many options with our support":
- it is possible adjust the textile product, using alternative natural materials;
- it is possible to improve the sustainability and recyclability of the product, giving an extended life (second life) to post consumer items;
- it is possible re-engineering the whole product to be completely composed by recycled materials.
A very representative example of recycling is the solution dedicated for the separation and recovery of down from pre and post-consumer padded products.
The ALAN DOWN RECYCLING separates the filling material as down or feather from the rest of the padded product to be recycled, all with a minimum presence of operators. The machine can process any type of padded item such as jackets, sleeping bags, pillows and duvets/quilts.
CENTROCOT - MULTILAB
Centrocot is a certification and research centre for companies in the entire production chain of the textile, fashion, leather and leather sector, providing specialised services such as laboratory testing, research, technical support, experimentation, training and certification. With over 2,000 tests on its list, it is recognised as an excellence in the sector: Centrocot is in fact one of the most authoritative references in Italy for sustainability, quality, chemical safety, innovation, certification and the circular economy. Its research and innovation hub, Multi-Lab, is a multi-sector experimental laboratory that supports companies that want to face new innovation challenges linked to sustainability and the circular economy, favouring industrial symbiosis processes.
Multi-Lab's activities focus on the recovery, reuse and recycling of pre- and post-consumer waste materials through different technologies. To carry out these activities, the laboratory is equipped with machinery and tools for the mechanical and thermo-mechanical processing and recycling of natural, synthetic and artificial textile fibres and plastics. It also has systems for material characterisation, including a respirometer to measure biodegradability. This experimental approach is supported by digital tools such as the M3P platform (an acronym for Material Match Making Platform, www.m3plife.com), which aims to create matches between production waste, unsold items or waste that companies can include and the recycling technologies available on the market, also taking into account current regulations and possible certifications applicable in the circular economy.
NAZENA
Nazena is an innovative startup operating in the textile recycling sector which targets brands and companies interested in developing sustainability projects with their production waste, offering itself as an ideal partner thanks to its model based on the circular economy.
Through a patented upcycling process, Nazena transforms industrial and post-consumer textile scraps into customized custom products, recovering up to 100% of natural and synthetic textile fibers.
The resulting processed material takes the form of rigid, completely eco-friendly panels. These, depending on thickness, lamination and post-production processing, can have different applications, both decorative (giftware) and structural (secondary packaging, furniture).
The solidity and rigidity of the panels made allow them to be used to create structural furniture elements, such as desks, shelves, trays and shelves. Thinner panels, on the other hand, lend themselves to the creation of decorative items, such as office supplies, coat racks, store corners and collection containers.
Nazena collaborates with selected partners to offer a complete supply chain service, ranging from the collection of waste material or textile waste to its processing and use in the creation of new circular products, with the ability to prepare detailed sustainability reports on the recovery project.
NEXT TECHNOLOGY TECNOTESSILE
Founded in Prato in 1972, in the heart of Europe's most important Textile District, Next Technology Tecnotessile (NTT) has rapidly consolidated its position as a reference Research Center at regional, national and international level.
The constant participation in R&D and technology transfer projects, initially related to the textile and fashion world, but later expanded to the most diverse industrial sectors, has allowed NTT to consolidate a vast network of links and strategic collaborations within the most relevant industrial realities, universities, research centers and companies operating in Italy, Europe and worldwide.
The strengths of NTT's activities are represented by the multidisciplinary nature of its teams of researchers, the availability of pilot plants and laboratories with high-tech scientific instrumentation for mechanical testing and chemical/physical analysis, and the industrial application of research results for the realization of prototypes at the semi-industrial level.
With the enhancement of its CEQ (Center of Excellence Quality) technology-training hub, NTT has further strengthened its commitment to applied research, supporting the growth of enterprises in a plurality of sectors: from textiles to fashion, from tannery to footwear, from leather goods to apparel, from wood-furniture to construction to mechanics, automotive and railways.
NTT works closely with companies by offering advanced customized solutions through the provision of qualified technical consulting services for improving competitiveness and promoting the participation of companies that decide to invest in innovation and technological research through also defining project proposals for access to various sources of public funding.
In this context, NTT has confirmed its role as a qualified partner, highlighting the importance of innovation and quality to maintain a strategic position in the various target markets.
OMMI
