Exhibition Districts

Ecomondo expands the content and exhibition offer of low environmental impact technologies, developing a district dedicated to trenchless technology in synergy with IATT - Italian Association for Trenchless Technology.
The aim is to promote knowledge of good practices, advantages and fields of use of trenchless technologies for the laying, rehabilitation and renovation of underground infrastructures of the following sub-services.

  • electrical networks
  • telecommunications
  • gas and energy
  • aqueducts and sewers

and in the following fields of application

  • consolidation of landslide slopes
  • reclamation of polluted sites

EXHIBITION PROJECT

The Trenchless District is located in Hall C6, within the Waste as Resource area.
It is a comprehensive project combining supply chain players and content. The district is in fact equipped with an internal conference area where the themes of environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and technological innovation will be addressed thanks to the contribution of the main stakeholders.

In particular, the Trenchless District involves realities active in:

  • research and mapping of existing underground utilities
  • video-inspection
  • laying new pipelines through guided horizontal drilling (controlled horizontal drilling, microtunnelling, TBM, pilot system, etc.)
  • rehabilitation and renovation of underground pipelines (by means of hose lining, close fit, slip lining, C.I.P., pipe and tube relining, etc.).....
  • suppliers and/or distributors of machinery, materials and manufactured goods.

The companies present in the district for the 2024 edition are: Danhpix, Ekso, Pipecare, Rotech, Sandro Greco and WPR Service.

Le aziende presenti all'interno del distretto per l'edizione 2024 sono: DanhpixEksoPipecareRotechSandro Greco e WPR Service.

SCENARIO

Various processes underway at national and European level are pushing for the adoption of strategies, projects and solutions in favour of sustainability. It is enough to think of the path started in Italy with the Ecological Transition and in Europe with the Green Deal, favoured and supported by the programming of funds deriving from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

In this context, trenchless technologies (or low environmental impact) play a strategic role in achieving the country's ecological transition objectives, because they allow sustainable interventions from an economic, environmental, collective, and territorial point of view, minimising open-cut excavations, construction times, socio-environmental impacts, energy consumption, and accidents on construction sites.

Italian Association for Trenchless Technolgy

A non-profit association established in 1994 with the aim of promoting and stimulating the culture and scientific and technical knowledge of No Dig technologies. Its mission is to transfer No Dig knowledge to public and private management.
IATT is also associated with ISTT, International Society for Trenchless Technology, along with 27 other associations from 32 different countries worldwide.
