Exhibition Sectors

The exhibition and content offerings of this sector are enriched and flank the consolidated Monitoring and Control with the new Earth Observation.

The even more articulated visit route is concentrated in the eastern area of the fairgrounds, involving Hall D6 in particular.

MONITORING AND CONTROL

Environmental Monitoring & Control is the section of Ecomondo which hosts Italian and international excellences active in the field of chemical analysis. At the centre of the exhibition section are companies that deal with instrumentation, analysis, consultancy in the environmental, food and materials fields.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • Solutions for setting up/renovating/managing a chemical laboratory

  • Monitoring of landfills and composting or biogas plants

  • Analysis of atmospheric emissions

  • Consultancy and analyses for remediation/asbestos/air quality/water/food/waste/sludge

  • Safety at work

  • Global Service/Maintenance/Calibration/Replacement for instrumentation and measuring equipment

  • Software and management software for laboratories/data analysis/environmental forecast

WHO VISIT?

  • Control bodies

  • Chemical, material, clinical laboratories

  • Manufacturers of monitoring systems and analytical instrumentation

  • Engineering companies

  • Environmental consultants

  • Research centres

  • RSPP/HSE/RLS managers

  • Representatives of multiple industries

EARTH OBSERVATION

In 2024, Ecomondo will be getting a new area entirely dedicated to Earth Observation.

Historically used for military and government applications, it has now become an indispensable tool for monitoring the health of the planet and studying climate change. In this way, it is possible to trace future development trajectories to support investment and efficiency policy useful in both the institutional and private sectors.

Regarding investments, among the sizeable funds allocated by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for the ecological transition in Italy, many will benefit the New Space Economy, specifically leveraged for:

  • acquisition of satellite data for environmental, biodiversity and agroforestry primary production monitoring;

  • research in the food, health and pharmaceutical sectors;

  • identification of new materials.

The Earth Observation sector is no longer based on the dated, dual notion of “public agency”: it is officially a strategic sector that will involve institutions and companies.

At Ecomondo, we will therefore focus on new satellite monitoring technologies which, together with Big Data and AI models, represent an opportunity to combat climate change with particular attention to hydrogeological instability and the protection of green areas, the soil, water resources and the health of cities, which have always been topics dear to the event.
